About Vantik
An advisory practice built around honest measurement
We help businesses in Malaysia understand their performance clearly — starting with the numbers that genuinely matter.

Where Vantik came from
Vantik began as a small internal project inside a regional trading firm in Kuala Lumpur. The leadership team had accumulated years of reports, each one longer than the last, and found themselves spending more time reading numbers than acting on them. A member of the operations team — one of Vantik's founding advisors — spent six months reducing that reporting to a short weekly brief. The difference in how quickly decisions were made surprised everyone.
That experience prompted a wider question: how many other businesses were in the same position, buried in data they collected but could not use? In 2019, Vantik was established as an independent advisory practice with a specific focus — helping organisations in Malaysia build performance measurement that was genuinely useful rather than merely thorough.
We have since worked with businesses in professional services, retail operations, light manufacturing and business support. Each engagement is different, but the central question is always the same: what are the handful of numbers that honestly tell you how the business is doing today?
Our Mission
To help Malaysian business leaders read their performance clearly and act on what they see — without the overhead of reporting systems that demand more than they return.
Our Philosophy
Fewer, better numbers. A measure that is understood and used is worth more than ten that are collected and filed. We design for clarity and for the team that will maintain the work after we leave.
Our Commitment
Decisions always remain with your team. We advise, inform and structure — we do not steer. Our engagements are scoped clearly from the start so you know what to expect throughout.

How We Work
Standards we hold ourselves to
Confidentiality
All business information shared with us remains within the engagement. We do not reference client data in other contexts without explicit agreement.
Clear documentation
Every framework we design is documented in plain language — definitions, calculation methods and guidance notes — so your team can maintain it independently.
Honest perspective
We say what we observe, including when the data suggests something the leadership team may not want to hear. That is when the advisory relationship is most useful.
Predictable scopes
Every engagement starts with a written scope. We do not expand what we are doing without discussing it first. You know what you are committing to from the start.
Respectful of your team
We ask for focused involvement — not open-ended access. Your team has operational work to do, and we design our process to take as little of their time as needed.
Built to last without us
Our aim is for the frameworks and dashboards we design to remain useful long after the engagement ends — maintained by your own people without needing our help.
Background
Performance measurement as a practical discipline
Across Malaysian businesses of all sizes, the gap between data collected and information actually used in decisions is often wide. Spreadsheets accumulate. Reports grow longer each quarter. The people who prepare the numbers spend hours doing so; the people who receive them spend minutes reading them.
Vantik's work addresses this gap directly. A Metrics Clarity Review asks a straightforward question: of everything you currently measure, which numbers genuinely tell you whether the business is healthy and moving in the right direction? Most organisations find that the useful measures number between five and twelve — far fewer than they track.
A KPI framework goes further by defining those measures with precision: what each one counts, how it is calculated, what a reasonable range looks like and what action it should prompt. When measures are defined at this level of clarity, the people reading the dashboard all understand what they are looking at — and disagreements about interpretation become less common.
The retainer arrangement is suited to organisations that want this kind of advisory input on a continuing basis — not to outsource judgment, but to have an outside perspective available as the business and its context change over time.
Vantik operates from Kuala Lumpur and works with businesses across Peninsular Malaysia. Engagements are conducted in English. Where helpful, working sessions can be arranged in Bahasa Malaysia as well.
